The phrase, "why we fight", gets thrown around by a lot of different groups for a lot of different reasons these days. Taking the Eschatological approach of the Purgatory series the question I asked was, if we got obliterated tomorrow, how would we answer the question, "why did you fight?" How do you assess that after the fighting is over? Helen of Troy (or my mutation of her) is the ultimate icon for such a question.
